This 5,000-acre area has 24 miles of trail available for off-road vehicle. The Hanging Rock area of the Wayne National Forest also provides some of the best riding all-terrain in all the country vehicles (ATVs) and off highway motorcycles (OHMs). Laurel Run Farmhouse is only a short drive to Dorr Run Head Trail. Just a short trip down the road and you can find yourself at several other trail system. Monday Creek ATV/OHM Trail System located in Nelsonville, provides approximately 75 miles of designated trails to off-road vehicle riders. Our Sand run Lake resort is located less than 1/2 mile away from 2 trail heads. If you are novice to expert rider there is something for you.

#HOCKING HILLS CABINS TRIAL#
The Wayne National Forest trial system offers some of the most fun and challenging trails. Our cabin rentals are located very close to some of the best riding trials in the country. Our cabins offer the perfect location if you are an off-road ATV/ Motorcycle enthusiast. Ohio University and Ohio State University Alumni have found our cabin make for a perfect reunion getaway Athens Halloween weekend is also worth attending if you want a Mardi Gras experience. Our cabins book fast for freshman summer orientation, mom's weekend, mother's weekend, dad's weekend, father's weekend, sibs weekend, graduation, commencement, alumni and parents weekend. Our cabins are conveniently located to Ohio University and Hocking College which makes our cabins a perfect family vacation destination for parents needing to spend time with their sons or daughters attending school. Facilities include a bathhouse with restrooms, showers and change booths and a concession building where food and beverages can be purchased. A fine swimming beach is located near the dam. Anglers will find good catches of bluegill, catfish, crappie and largemouth bass at Lake Hope. Lake Hope is 18,200-acre Lake that allows electric motor boating, with canoes and rowboat available for rent. Just a short trip down the road are many other lakes. This peaceful lake is surrounded by stately pine trees and is very scenic. Sand Run Lake Is a secluded little lake in Wayne National Forest often overlooked by visitors and adjoins our property. Six shady picnic sites offer a relaxing atmosphere for family gatherings. Several of our cabins sit on properties with ponds stocked with large mouth bass or border of the state lakes loaded with fish. If fishing is your passion our cabins will make your arms sore with all the bass you can real in. Residents and non-residents can only harvest one buck per season.No firearm season during the primary rut.Reasonable (under $200) OVER THE COUNTER non-resident tags.The next day you will begin hunting and you will hunt your own schedule and use your own vehicle to transport yourself to and from the hunting area.
The day before the hunt your guide will show you your hunting area and explain it to you. These hunts are perfect for the veteran bow hunter or the beginner. We have active deer trails, food sources or known bedding areas. Our properties have very limited hunting pressure. We own the land adjacent to Wayne National Forest and can help find the right locations to hunt. When you step into the woods at one of our cabins location, you truly could get lost in the beauty and the heart of the forest.
